For two years I spent time with residents of the Waterloo estate, one of Sydney’s last major social housing communities, as the area faced significant upheaval.

Through portraits and personal accounts, the book records the people, relationships and daily life of a place often reduced to politics, statistics or sentiment. It reflects on home, hardship, belonging and change without idealising the estate or reducing its residents to their circumstances.
